In her 80s by Danswrang Wary (India)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I met grandmother after two long years. This time she could barely recognize me. As she realized my voice she asked me if i had brought something for her to watch rather than asking for food. So i played some videos of my nephews in my laptop. Sitting there alone she conversed with the video where my nephews were playing as if the they were talking to her. She would often call them stop fooling around you boys and laugh at the video. I coud feel the joy and happiness she had at that moment. I did not know for how long she had been holding that happiness inside her. Sadly to say the dying age has changed her behaviour. The senses lost day by day drives the elderly people in a very sad manner. I have always imagined this shot long before just that it wasn't possible earlier. Moments such as this are worth remembering to see the old and the new generation into shift.
