Photojournalism: Honorable Mention 2016 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Four months after the collapse of the mining dam, the biggest environmental disaster in Brazil, the town of Paracatu remains untouched. People had 7 minutes to leave their home but they couldn't take anything but their lives. The current scenario is a bit like the Pompei of our days.
AUTHOR
Born in Brasil 1983 I fell for photography in 2003 when my father gave me his old pentax k1000. Short after I enrolled in an art school in Italy to go deeper on darkroom photography, printing and chemicals. After returning to Brazil, due to the lack of materials to be found I started mixing my own developers and fixers. Recently I have also been working on emulsions.
