ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Meerong is one of the Black Lancers. Indian Pataxó hã hã hãe was living with his entire family outside the bus station in Porto Alegre - RS - Brazil when he was invited to live within the Occupation Lancers Blacks in the city center. Currently Meerong can work and sell their crafts and is a major force against repossession within the occupation. The Occupation Lancers Black is in an abandoned state building for 12 years and without even a social function, is in the center of the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul.
AUTHOR
Erviton Quartieri Jr. resides in Passo Fundo / RS, it is the academic course of Advertising at the School of Arts and Communication (FAC) at the University of Passo Fundo (UPF) and a founding member and member of the visual direction of the Vaca Profana Culture House, also part of the Core studies in FAC Photography.
Photographer autodidact, Erviton began shooting when borrowed the camera from his mother, who was a journalist in 2005.
In 2010, Porto Alegre and studied digital photography at the School of Image Camera Traveler.
Became an urban portraitist, registered the growth of the city of Passo Fundo over the years, his artistic intention explores the history and our memory within the space we live in.
With time Erviton work gained a social theme and your photo documentary character. Your photos of urban occupations close to the "seventh heaven" in Passo Fundo and Occupation Lancers Black in the center of Porto Alegre, as well as the social expression of registration and other urban needs, dated by a heavy aesthetic in black & white, has been a landmark in his photographic work.
