ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Manhattanhenge is a natural phenomenon which happens during the Summer in New York City, where the light of sunset goes parallel with the streets on Manhattan island and cause an effect similar to the Stonehenge. Being a city with the highest density of skyscrapers - the latest solution of modern civilization come up for urbanization and habitation problems - this coincident not only brings up the question of how a city should respond to the natural condition it is surrounded by, but also awaken the awareness of environmental issues and respect to the natural order in architect's mind.
