Kwai Ming Heung, Wesley - Street Portrait by Kwai Ming , Wesley Heung (Hong Kong)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I like shooting at a street in Hong Kong, using the medium of photography to express an idea of abstract visualization of the beauty that can be found in ordinary daily life such as what remains on walls. Photography has an enduring capacity of abstraction and gives form to my experience. I make it a rule never to take a photograph without first seeing if something will only express ‘what people see it and what it is known by themselves.
The subject is " Street Portrait " where I shot in MongKok area, which I wish I would express street view of individual when the image moment of ambiguity had been found.
AUTHOR
Kwai Ming Heung Wesley was born in 1959, Hong Kong. He graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Higher Diploma in Building in 1994. His favorite shooting style is to capture undefined images of ambiguity and abstractness.
He has been a member of Cathay Camera Club since 2010, where he met his Italian teacher, Evangelo Costadimas from SCAD Hong Kong. Wesley was inspired to explore contemporary street photography and conceptual photography. His philosophy is to conceive photography as a creative form of visual art which is not only transcendent to the digital medium, but is also transcendent to the reality. To Wesley, images are subject to all kinds of interpretations. Based on such belief, he develops a unique aesthetic of seizing the beauty of indefinite images, with indeterminateness and mysteriousness as his signature style.
