ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The image was taken in the seaport of my hometown Trapani in 2016 in an area locally called "Marina". I was on holiday and I was walking with my mother and my brother on the sidewalk next to the sea. I was feeling particularly blessed because I was enjoying the amazing feeling that you can experience only in your hometown when suddenly I had one of my mystical visions. The Image featured the lampposts of the "Marina" and the title is in the Sicilian language "I Lampiuna da Marina". The lamppost provide light which mark the path to follow in life. The black Sun in the upper left is connected to the consciousness and his penetration in to the Underworld which is the eternal dwelling place of the soul. Then the birds as a messengers of good as signs for people looking for answers in life.

AUTHOR
Massimiliano Balò was born in Sicily. He is a self-taught photography artist. Through photography he communicate his vision of human life. His world made of "visions" featured by deformed characters which he "tortures" with his working screen. He use his mobile phone to create his works applying different editing programme.
His photos create a sense of mood, atmosphere,dream like and drama scenario. His photos blur the line between art photography and painting. Most of his compositions are abstract. They focus on shapes with little indications of scale and orientation. They are full of observations and questions about inner life and mystery!
