ENTRY DESCRIPTION
One of my latest captures. It's what i love doing the most, shooting minimal objects at sea... The search and hunt for it, waiting for the right tide, the weather. Standing by the sea, has a relaxing and satisfying effect, that comes along with long exposure photography.

Hey, my name is Christophe Staelens. I live in Belgium, near Ghent.
Whenever i can, i visit the coast, sometimes i cross the border.
There are some great objects for minimal photography along the French coastline.
I started taking photo’s a year or 6 ago, a friend advised me a dslr over a compact camera.
It didn’t take me long to experiment with nd filters and long exposures, because i love the
silky water effect, the movement of the clouds, the capture of time in one single frame…
Lately, i discovered some different aspects of photography, street and architecture.
But no matter where i am, shooting landscapes, people or buildings, unintionally i capture
things as minimal as possible.
