Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2017 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Generally landscape photographer need to visit the location many times to find desired composition, get familiar with the subject, hit the good weather conditions and light. It’s not always possible to achieve the intended goal but it’s worth trying. I was able to visit my trees 4 times. At first time I didn’t find them because of too heavy fog. Second time I didn’t shoot any pictures because of too good visibility and too messy background. Third time - when conditions were good but not ideal, with medium fog, snow and with diffused light - I shoot 2 frames. Next time, when I arrive to meet them, trees were cut.
Location: Poland, near Jawor city
Made in hybrid process: shoot on black&white negative film using medium format camera, developed and scanned, then post processed in digital dark room.
AUTHOR
I was born in 1985. I’m an electronics engineer and I work as a graphic designer/programist. Photography is my hobby, which helps me to break away from everyday life. My first camera was a digital camera, but my photographic journey began when the rolls of slides and negatives appeared in the desk instead of SD cards. From that moment the time slowed down and the magic of photography appeared.
