Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2017 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
When I saw the old tree in the salty Lake Dinan at Wongan Hills Western Australia in the lovely soft light of sunrise and the reflections 'reaching out' from the branches I just knew I had to create it in Monochrome. So happy with the result!
AUTHOR
Susan is both a photographer and a watercolour artist. Initially taking photos as reference for her art work, her artistic eye comes into play when composing images in camera. As requests for her images have increased, the time she spends with the camera is taking precedence.
A love of landscapes, flowers, birds influences her choice of subjects. Street photography has become a favourite too. Travel has given lots of inspiration for her landscapes.
Susam is the Australian leader for the Australia China Friendship Society's Photography tours to China. The first one in September 2018 to the Guilin region, the second to Shanghai and the Fujian Province in October 2019. The third tour to Shanhai and the Anhui Province will be in November 2020.
Susan's photography hangs in private collections around the world.
