ENTRY DESCRIPTION
My objective when creating this photograph was to capture in camera the elements that celebrate Elephants living in this magical place. Amboseli is a canvas consisting of a menagerie of dramatic light and exotic wildlife that collectively allows for wonderful moments in time like Spotlight. The backdrop of light falling from the heavens as if to guide the way for this lone Bull Elephant is classic in that it makes this capture so timeless.

Dana Kennedy has photographed throughout some of the most remote and wild landscapes in Africa. Born in the United States, she has comprised a portfolio of images capturing the stunning beauty and iconic spirit of the unique wildlife that resides within these wild spaces. Her unique style to create timeless moments, blending light and imagery to produce photographs that capture life in motion, originates from her education at Kent State University.

Following her heart to travel the world, Dana discovered a renewed passion for photography during a trip to Africa in 2009. The art of wildlife photography pulled at her heartstrings and consequently elevated her craft to a new level, leading her down a new path of visual artistry. Today a collection of her photographs are showing at the William Carr Gallery in Las Vegas, a unique opportunity that allows her work to be viewed by a world market. Several of her photographs have received critical acclaim from National Geographic and Africa Geographic respectively.
