A winter storm was raging all day in the remote part of Churchill, Manitoba in Canada. All out of a sudden the storm ceased around midnight and with a crystal clear sky the aurora borealis was dancing in amongst the starry night, and for a brief moment it was like a phoenix descended from heaven.
AUTHOR
My interest in photography was sparked off by my brother, when he taught me how to use his film camera. But I really have no idea how passionate I am until my first son was born and now I am crazy enough to ride an eight-hours horse trip at remote mountain trail in Northern Xinjiang to capture its stunning landscape. My effort really paid off in 2016 - being won the Grand Award of 2016 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year!
