ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Silky sharks are so named for the smooth texture of its skin. With a slender and streamlined body, it patrols the pelagic zone hunting for all kinds of bony fish. In Socorro, Mexico, I had the opportunity to photograph these graceful creatures as they gathered around the scuba divers as we ascended from our dive on evening. I wanted to capture a silhouette that embodies the unique physique and the unassuming nature of these guardians of the sea.
