Arkadiusz “Arek” Gepchard is an artistic photographer creating surreal self-portraits in which he combines humor with reflection on everyday life and human nature. He has been involved in photography since 1999. He works primarily in digital techniques, often using theatrical makeup and props of his own construction. His works balance between realism and imagination, truth and fiction.
The artist has held numerous solo and group exhibitions and has received many awards and distinctions in prestigious photography competitions worldwide.
Gepchard’s photographs are held in private collections as well as in the collection of the National Library of France in Paris. He has been featured in publications such as Visual Art Journal, ArtistCloseUp, and Stockholm Designer Magazine. He regularly donates his works for charitable purposes. He lives and works in France, constantly blending humor, emotion, and reflection in his images.
