ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photograph is from a project about capturing people's daily life, habits and difficulties in Pomak villages. The ethnonym of Pomaks is widely used colloquially for Eastern South Slavic Muslims in Greece, Bulgary and Turkey. Here, a Muslim woman swings a young Christian girl in Oreo village at the Greek-Bulgarian borders (March 2017).
