ENTRY DESCRIPTION

AUTHOR
Margaret Westreich was born and raised in New Jersey, U.S.A. After studying oboe and graduating with a degree in Music Performance from Ithaca College, New York in 2007, she immigrated to Linz, Austria to continue her studies in music at the Bruckner Universität while pursuing her desire to become fluent in German.

In 2009, her passion for the visual arts led her to start studying design at the Meisterschule für Grafik- und Kommunikationsdesign. As her interest in photography grew, it soon became clear that she wanted to combine her background in design with conceptual photography. She is also strongly influenced and inspired by travel and documentary photography.

Margaret ist currently Junior Art Director at the Strobl Advertising Group in Linz, Austria and will be completing her second year at the Prager Fotoschule. She enjoys speaking German daily with a somewhat strong, but charming American accent.
