AUTHOR
Zakaria Ahmed is a New York City based documentary photographer. He believes art and photography to be outlets of self-discovery, of personal expression and tools for social change. He portrays an intimate human relationship with contemporary society and time, through his works. He believes that, access to a subject's personal moment is a precious gift. Zak honors this trust by working hard to create honest story-telling photographs. He knows the power of still images and individual’s ability to impact the world at large.
Through his lens, Zak searches individual's inner beauty and resembles it through his works. His photographs consist of this uncanny beauty, which depicts unimaginable stories.
Zakaria is passionate about visual works such as typography, web design, logo design and drawing. He speaks 4 languages, and currently resides in Queens, New York.
