ENTRY DESCRIPTION
A photograph is a collaboration. Its strength depends on the honesty model and photographer bring to the moment. Michael Dunn brought complete honesty to this moment.
AUTHOR
An image, moving or still, is a collaboration. If my work builds empathy, excitement, and enjoyment it is a success.
I was born in Montana and raised in North Dakota. I left North Dakota for Dublin, Ireland where I attended the Bill Clinton Institute for American Studies studying print journalism. Late that year, on a last minute excursion to Oslo, Norway, I bought a Fujifilm FinePix - my first camera - and got the bug. I haven’t stopped making images since.
I started in photojournalism covering Venezuela and Cyprus. I then went to Philadelphia, PA, where I handled all the food and set photography for The Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible. After that, I boarded a plane to Los Angeles. I now work as a Residential and Portrait Photographer, a Social Media Director, and a Commercial Videographer.
