ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I had the chance to portrait this man in Indonesia (Lombok in 2016).
It happened during ramadan-ending and he was sitting on a table at the street.
He had a break from walking.
His face tells me always a bit about his life.
I asked for a photo and straight away he said yes.
We couldn´t understand each other with language but while shooting I felt that we connected in some way and there was deep familiarity.
After that he smiled and his eyes glimpsed happy.
A women passed and told me that this what I´ve done (portraying) is lasting forever.
This memory and connection can never pass away.
AUTHOR
I am a self taught photographer from Würzburg – Germany. Actually I´m based in Munich. Fascinated by the pictures from my grandpa I bought me a camera and started traveling through Vietnam. Back home I realized it could be more and so I started shooting more and more. Due to my studies I focused my work more on concept and studio work. My projects are very diverse and vary from portraits, weddings, commercial work, travel and documentry.
