ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Women in the Omo-vally in Etiopia cut their lower lip and try to fix a plate made of clay as big as possible. This is an old tradition there.
AUTHOR
I work as a doctor and became a passionate and ambitious photographer quite recently.
In 2007 I bought my first digital camera.
The positive reactions to my pictures encouraged me more and more and convinced me that photography is a magnificent way to pass on the richness, uniqueness and beauty of nature to others.
During the last years I visited a lot of countries and continents, but Africa with its exceptionally rich wildlife became my favorite destination.
I am glad that many African countries realized the benefit of nature reserves even transcending national borders and use a regulated eco tourism to maintain these unique wildlife and landscapes.
My aim with my pictures is to illustrate the relationship and interdependency of the animals and their natural environment.
