ENTRY DESCRIPTION
ec.ex is part of the a bigger series, called “digital analogue” and is an experiment to create old, damaged daguerreotype styled photos out of digital images.
But ec.ex goes further!
When people look at photographic images, they load these photos with their own emotions. emotions linked to experiences; experiences often linked to trivial symbols in our society.
You see a sword and you think of fight, war, kill for example.
But give them a keyword, something that goes in a complete different direction.
Now they have to rethink the photo and hopefully see it in another way - this is something we should do more often, when we look at our world.
