AUTHOR
Kerry Koepping is an award winning international photographer and communicator with a passion for the Arctic and the ever-changing environment. He is the Executive Director of the Arctic Arts Project and is a research Affiliate with The Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR). His work has been published in distinguished media channels throughout the world including: the Smithsonian, BBC, National Center For Atmospheric Research, ECO, SwissCom , MSN.com, Bing, ABC, Associated Press, The National Academy of Science (PNAS) and the U. S. Arctic Research Commission. Kerry has also been a speaker/presenter at numerous international forums and conferences on climate change; most recently at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik, Iceland and The Visual Climate Change Forum at The University of Indonesia, Jakarta, and The American Renewable Energy Conference.
Kerry’s goal is to foster a visual understanding of the environmental, scientific and sociological processes of change within the Arctic. Through a diverse and profound body of photographic work, Kerry and The Arctic Arts Project seeks to develop visual knowledge of Arctic scientific studies and to improve society's awareness and understanding of the natural and anthropogenic changes occurring in the Arctic.
