ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The picture was taken at Cat Ba Bay during a trip to Vietnam in May 2017. I was on a boat to visit the small islands and during the trip I was amazed by the tranquility of the landscape, usually filled with boats . I wanted to make a minimalist photo retranscribing this peace and the link between nature and man. When I took it, I didn't know it would be a monochrome photo. It was during the development that I looked at it in black and white and that I found the result quite amazing. What struck me most was the mountains on a perfect line that gives the impression of having stacked layers more or less opaque. A beautiful illusion.
