ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Calbuco Volcano, Los Lagos Region, Chile. Photograph captured during the violent eruption of the volcano Calbuco in April of the year 2015.
An incredible amount of lightning and explosions accompanied the exit of lava from the crater of the massif, this phenomenon lasts approximately 5 hours. This phenomenon is known as dirty storm by scientists and occurs only in some eruptions where the components or material of the volcano meets certain characteristics that when ejected by the volcano produce these electrical discharges.
To achieve this photograph use tripod, cable trigger and long exposure.
