ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Kalapalo Indians during Kuarup, in Xingu. The ritual is celebrated once a year and serves to honor the dead. Each deceased member is represented by a wooden trunk, called Kuarup, passing through a long ritual, before and during the ceremony.
AUTHOR
Ricardo Stuckert, 46, 28 years of profession, was the official photographer of the Presidency of Brazil during the eight years (2003-2011).
Ricardo Stuckert also worked in the brazilian newspaper O Globo and magazines CARAS, VEJA and IstoÉ.
