ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Indian Muslims leave after the prayers at the Shams mosque on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, in Mira Road on the outskirts of Mumbai, India, 07 July 2016. After the sighting of the new crescent moon Muslims around the world celebrate the Eid al-Fitr Festival which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
AUTHOR
Divyakant Solanki, a self-taught photographer, associated with European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) since 2010. Born in Amreli, Gujarat in 1981, he developed his passion for photography and consequently became a photographer with Business Standard in Ahmedabad in 2003. In 2005 he moved to Mumbai to work as Senior Photographer at Business Standard daily before joining EPA in 2010.
His work graced as 'Photo of the Day' mostly in various international newspapers and on websites such as The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The National, The Seattle Times, The Telegraph and more.
