ENTRY DESCRIPTION
During a month I worked with the Environmental Police, focusing on the illegal wildlife trade in São Paulo, Brazil. We raided illegal street markets where people sell wild animals, and we were also on a search and rescue mission trying to locate wild animals illegally kept as pets. During this month I had the incredible opportunity to see the hands of policemen saving lives of innocent and fragile animals.

All the rescued birds were taken to a rehabilitation center, and with care and luck, they may be able to roam free once again.
