Photomanipulation: 3rd Place Winner 2017 (professional)
St. Patrick's Cathedal by Mary Anne Chilton (United States)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I was lucky to have a hotel room with a remarkable view of the back of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York. The images looked as though they were photo gravures.
So complex, the shapes and the forms were all things I was taught in Art History, but difficult to hone in one one section.
The composition ended up with three exposures that would hopefully give the viewer the feeling of complexity but beauty of gothic architecture.

Recent years have been spent solely on photography. I find that one still image can say so much more than film or video. My work is mainly black and white architecture and colour landscapes. Other forms include abstract.
