AUTHOR
Eric Isselée
Photographer, sculptor, creator of lamps and furniture.
Eric Isselée was born in 1966 in Brussels. His father was specialized in aerial photography and transmitted the love of photography to his son. Eric, however, chose to dedicate himself to portraits, mainly of children, in black and white.
He developed his technique and progressively expanded his activity. In 2000, managing a studio with twelve collaborators, he decided to come back to one of his rst passions that he had put on hold for several years. From the world of light to those of lamps, there is one short step, which this autodidact easily made. He imagines,
sculpts and gives life to hundreds of stupendous lamps which he exhibits in various galleries in Belgium, France, the United Kingdom and even in his own studio.
His life is divided between this new art, his frequent trips around the world with its share of encounters.
Alongside his various activities, Eric founded Life on White in 2006. Today, this photo studio specialized in the photography of animals on white background, o ering over 35,000 images for around 1,500 di erent species, has become the worldwide reference in its domain.
Despite the success of his business, Eric pursues his creative work and quest for particular subjects. Faded zebra crossings, gra ti on mailboxes, frozen water, animals from the african savannah under rain and lamps made of shattered glass.
