ENTRY DESCRIPTION
As a film director and writer, I find the image fascinating. One: because it is always a challenge to have only one picture.
And there are more reasons:
In Mexico (where I born), is my understanding that is hard to find "composite" photography... it advances little by little and is very misunderstood, where many tools and talents come together to achieve an image. "Creative" photography, as some call it, is the perfect contemporary translation of the abstract or the surrealism in painting, a sort of equivalent. But always with some realism, that is, the digital tools are there but they should not be noticed, they should not be the center of the piece.
Reality is beautiful but when you modify it... you take the eye to another place: that´s what photography is about... the story, the cinema.
(Belleza Resrevada) Reserved Beauty, is the title of the work that is inspired by the cinema, horror films or science fiction of the eighties;
powerful and iconic scenes or collection movie posters that carried the photograph and the design to a whole new level.
Reserved Beauty is Inspired by the music covers (rock or electronics from the 70s-2000´s): in these dine arts that combined many techniques to grant a hypnotic and fascinating image.
