ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I've recently become interested in abstract photography - lines, shapes, shadows etc. I took a macro picture of some hostas in my garden and then edited into black & white, emphasizing the lines and shadows.

It all started with taking pictures of my kids when they were young. After I retired, photography became a hobby that led to enrolling in workshops and joining a camera club. I am especially drawn to creative photography and I'm now exploring street photography as well. With a camera in hand, the world opens its doors to the imagination, revealing a depth of secrets we often miss. The photograph captures a simple portrait or an ordinary scene, and transforms it into a rich visual, exposing layers of emotions and moods that tell a story lying just beneath the surface. It's all there and waiting, if we just take a moment to look.
