ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The Paolo VI Pope bronze monument and the bell tower in Sacro Monte - Varese – Italy.
They are situated on top of Sacro Monte in Varese. Sacro Monte is a zone of a mountain called Campo dei Fiori (about 1200 meters high). To go on top of Sacro Monte (by foot) there is an itinerary (3 km long) called “via crucis” with 14 chappels. Sacro Monte is 844 meters high. On top of Sacro Monte there is a village called Santa Maria del Monte with a sanctuary with the bell tower and the bronze pope statue represented in the picture.
