Architecture: Honorable Mention 2018 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
One of my favorite things about traveling by train is seeing things from a different perspective than most others do. In this case, I spotted an urban church being renovated on the other side of the tracks. What struck me was the contrast between those working to preserve and restore the past (the repair of the towers) and those who denigrate both past and present (the graffiti on the train cars). I can’t help wondering, as I look at this photo which of us is on the wrong side of the tracks. Taken near Chicago, Illinois USA.
