Architecture: Honorable Mention 2018 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The fascinating architecture of the Pyramide of the Louvre in Paris (France) competes with the emerging storm over the Jardin des Tuileries and the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel which is slightly visible in the back on the right. Tourists are protected unter the Pyramid's roof.
AUTHOR
Born in Munich, Germany, my family always went to the countryside on the weekends, sometimes for lunch in a nice Bavarian restaurant, sometimes to one of the lakes around Munich, sometimes to do a little sightseeing to one of the castles of King Ludwig II. So as a youngster already I always took my camera with me to be ready to shoot the foreign looking Moorish Kiosk or the Venus Grotto in Linderhof Park.
In my 20s I had a SLR camera and changed to DSLR in 2000. Right now my camera is a Canon EOS 70D and a Canon EOS 5D Mark III.
In 2011 only I started editing my pictures. Painting inspired me to create a series of original pictures and their variations as I wanted to try out different colors and styles and modify completely the layout of the picture. My tools were Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 4, Picasa™3, ifolor Designer. http://www.blurb.de/b/4970469-top-10-x-5
I am passionate about shooting landscapes, still life, architecture and animals. I particularly love shooting backlights.
