ENTRY DESCRIPTION
According to most critics, „Lebanese bond“ is one of the crowning jewles of noirESQUE film production which inspired wave of melodramatic frauds in screwedCITY real estate market. The final scene (shown here) was taken in lebanese quarter, the only remaining foreign quarter in screwedCITY following enforcement of „Xenophobic Act“ – apparently, adjective „lebanese“ has tongue-rolling and pronunciation-friendly qualities, and therefore lebanese quarter (with its national cuisine restaurants and monochromatic, petty crime ridden streets) was left intact.
Interestingly, „Lebanese bond“ director's cut is 20 minutes shorter than final cut version for public release. All known copies of „Lebanese bond“ director's cut are owned by McCullough...
noirESQUE is part of "screwedCITY" series.
