ENTRY DESCRIPTION
First, there was an idea, itching, shouting to move, crying as Dega from Papillon, one of my favorite books: 'If I stay - here in this place - I will die! ' No emotion without motion. You have to keep doing what you love, like Vivian Maier or Francesca Woodman, no matter what.
Later there was a piece of a paper and drawings...
If you cannot travel, if you cannot move like you used to, from one place to another, from one job to another, if you decided to stay for a while, then the idea is the only way out. Travel in your city, travel in your mind...
People are always curious when I prepare my photography frames, in some sense, I make my own open air gallery exposition, they ask what I do, sometimes they take pictures next to my short lasting wooden sculptures, or they are inviting me to seat with them and have a talk.
I don't know how to interpret this photography, but I like the night silence, finding peace after 8 hours job in a busy city, a small talk with a woman that was trying to capture a moonlight and was asking for an advice. I like the light from the circus, the fact that I did not even realize that it will help to brighten my scene. Edinburgh lights in the fog, never stop searching...
Just a small update of a thought from today.
Maybe these three Saltires, X - crosses are my three USA visa rejections? Thank God photography can travel everywhere!
To keep it positive, all three of us don't want to leave Scotland...
