ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photograph was taken in 2007 while I was sailing on a lake in Normandy. This feather came near my boat and I immediately noticed the drop of water that was there. I grabbed my camera and leaned as far as I could, almost falling into the water. I only had time to take a picture before the current carried away this fragile boat that disappeared in the distance.
AUTHOR
I am a fineart photographer living in Normandie, France.
From a family of Russian aristocats, I was born in Germany in 1970.
Raised by my grandfather, I studied literature, painting and classical music.
In my adolescence I was initiated to photography by a talented photographer who offered me one of his film camera.
First I tried out portraiture and street photography, then turned to heritage and landscape photography.
Capturing the nuances of light and their ephemeral poetry, I attach myself to fix on an image this fragile moment during which something eternal seems to have manifested itself.
