ENTRY DESCRIPTION
My Secret Life of Grass series explores the world where grass lives.
We as humans set the parameters by which we judge, assess and measure nature. In doing so we have sometimes driven species to extinction and polluted our planet, often through greed, ignorance and disrespect.
I hope the viewer sees beauty in the photographs of this humble plant and questions what in nature is worthy and deserving of preservation and not just for the sake of it’s beauty. We need to remember that the ecosystems we live in provide our most basic and essential needs – food, air and water. We have a responsibility to preserve the natural world, not only for future generations but for nature itself.
AUTHOR
I am a photographer whose goal is to produce images that challenge, enquire and encourage reflection. Images that can confront and have the power to induce change. Images with a social conscience. I do not confine myself to any particular genre of photography but rather respond to the world around me, in all of its forms.
