Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2018 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
One of the things I like about black and white photography is that you don't have to wait for epic light around ''golden hour'' and you can still make nice images during normal day time. This image was taken at the end of a 3 day photography trip on the West coast, south island New Zealand around 10.30am in the morning. This particular area is well known for being a harsh environment and has a stunning stretch of coastline, with sea stacks, cliffs and rough open beaches. I have seen this little bay before but didn't realize that it had access, I am glad that I know now and is a perfect bay that makes for a seascape paradise. I noticed this big rock that had a cool shape to it with big bold textures to it just standing by itself when every so often the waves would come washing up around it, so I wanted to experiment with the wave motion. This was taken with a nikon D500, tamron 10-24mm Di II lense, induro tripod and a nisi 9 stop filter. Iso 320, 11mm, f/9, 21/2 sec
Thanks you.
