Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2018 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Every now and then humans need the realisation that we are but small creatures in a big world. The white cliffs at Birling Gap, England, give a sense of just how tiny we truly are.
AUTHOR
Nadia de Lange is a fine art photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland. She aims to capture the soul of her subject, be it a landscape, building or animal, transforming what others see in the scene into what she sees when looking through the lens. Using mainly black and white, the emphasis is on form and contrast and how the interaction between these elements create beauty.
