Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2018 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
As I was walking in the snow, the scene before me caught my eye. The snow flakes were really big and chunky adding to the overall impact of the vista. The lane in front formed a lovely sweep enhanced by the fence posts and the trees in the distance. The recent car tracks also emphasized the sweep of the alpine country lane as it disappeared into the distance.
AUTHOR
A memory of past events, experiences and emotions through my eyes.
I have always loved photography. What I really enjoy is taking images that first and foremost appeal to me. They must always evoke a memory of a past event or an experience - the coldness of the snow, the taste of coffee, the smell of a perfume, the music which was playing at the time and most importantly, family and friends. To me, photography is a true art form which must have an emotional connection.
I have a fairly eclectic style. Basically, if I like it, I'll shoot it.
Photography for me is a journey of continual innovation and improvement - always striving to be better and trying to look at things in a different way - the inspiring moment, a dash of the unexpected and a hint of the unknown.
