AUTHOR
Silvia Najurieta is a Graphic Designer and is currently working in the marketing department of the family business, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She finished her studies at UNUM Mexico City. Photography has always been important for her; her father used to have a dark room and was an excellent amateur photographer. When she was seventeen she began taking photography courses at different schools, including the Contemporary Art Museum in DF.

When she was 22 years old, she went to Milan, Italy, where she stayed for two years. She took up a Professional Course and payed her studies at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia working as an assistant there. She won some internal competitions and her photographs where published in photography magazines. She worked as a photographer for a model agency for a few months until she had to return to Argentina.

Back at home, she started giving photography courses for beginners and worked as a social photographer, but she needed to improve her incomes so she accepted a job as a graphic designer, leaving photography aside for many years.

Now she is 49 years old, is married, has two grown-up children and an eight-year-old boy, and is still working at the family business.

Fortunately, she re-discovered that photography is the way she can express herself, and it fills her with happiness (no me gusta del todo. Hablemos a ver qué ponemos...). This year, she bought a new camera, and improved? (mejoraste un estudio en casa?) a studio at home. She realized that digital photography is a new world to discover, and she has begun studying again. In her free time, she is working on product and fashion photography.
