ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The women represent the heart of the Samburu Tribe. Back left, Married woman, she has a chain of beads dangling from her right ear: Middle girl, unmarried but is advertising her willingness to 'look', by wearing the artificial flower on her head. Front right, the Midwife, she also performs other operations. This shot was taken during a Marriage dance.
AUTHOR
Stew has always been an artist, and over the years he has been quite successful in selling and exhibiting canvases in the north of England.
However, he has now discovered Photography. The immediacy of the camera and of seeing, recognising and anticipating a picture in all it's intimacy, is very exciting.
