ENTRY DESCRIPTION
A freediver descends in the Blue Hole in Dahab, Egypt in April of 2018. With a maximum depth of around 100 meters and no current, the Blue Hole is one of the world's top training locations for professional freedivers.

AUTHOR
Ryan McKnight founded and leads the award-winning design team at Industry Dive, a rapidly growing business news company in Washington, DC.

McKnight has documented the interior of melting glaciers, the earth from the stratosphere, the snows of Kilimanjaro, endangered sea turtles in the Galápagos and WWII shipwrecks in the Red Sea.

He is a scuba diver, freediver, wilderness first aid responder and alpine mountaineer.
