ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In this piece I wanted to examine the separation from reality and the loss of identity that occurs during a psychotic episode.
AUTHOR
Tanya Solonyka is a Toronto based artist working in multiple disciplines. She enjoys creating a slightly altered view on reality and is often inspired by the human psyche; especially that of women. "To me the women figure is very multifaceted with incredible depth and layers. I am fascinated by their strength of character as well as their vulnerability. In my work I often explore different themes celebrating the woman figure, capturing the subtle ways emotion can be portrayed."
