AUTHOR
Louis Arthur Norton, a professor emeritus at the University of Connecticut, has published extensively in the scientific, dental clinical, maritime history and Jewish literatures. Educated at Bowdoin, Harvard and UConn, he also served on the faculties of the University of Kentucky and Harvard. Dr. Norton was a Fulbright Research Fellow at the Hebrew University’s Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem in 1972, a Fogarty Fellow at Cambridge University in the UK, a NATO Fellow at the Royal Dental College at Aarhus, Denmark and a Paul Revere Memorial Fellow at the Massachusetts Historical Society. He was a Fulbright Research Fellow at the Hebrew University’s Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem in 1972, a Fogarty Fellow at Cambridge, a NATO Fellow at the Royal Dental College at Aarhus, and a Paul Revere Memorial Fellow at the Massachusetts Historical Society. A stalwart traveler and photographer, Dr. Norton has presented many armchair travel talks in Connecticut and elsewhere.
