ENTRY DESCRIPTION
"GOODBYE TO A GHOST TRAIN" express the first feeling I've had when I saw this old fashioned train leaving the station.
This man trying to jump in in a hurry while people just standing hiden by the smoke evokes for me the necessity to preserve the past but the necessity to let it go to move on…
It is a really a personnal interpretation but this train for me was haunted by the ghosts of the past with a unknown situation and that's what the title is about. It tells a story which could be very different for everybody, it's a very cinematographic image for me.
AUTHOR
Born and raised in the South of France, I actually live in Paris.
Since I remember I've Always been in love with the observation of people around me and telling myself imaginative stories about it.
I naturally wanted to capture these moments with my camera for expressing myself with some situations which moved me on and keeping safe the emotion of astonishement, joy or sadness I felt in the first place.
Even if I use color in some parts of my work, BNW pics are usually my favorite cause they generate for me a blur between past and present, reality and imagination and that's the way I want people feel about my work.
Titles are importants too, I really think about it for a moment and even if I don't want to use them to describe exactely what the picture is about. They are an indication about the feelings I've had when I took the pic or my point of view after editing so they create some kind of intimacy between me and the people who will see the pic after.
