ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo is taken during the Mille Miglia event in Brescia.
The Mille Miglia was a long distance race that was disputed in Italy for twenty-four times, from 1927 to 1957. Since 1977, the Mille Miglia has been revived in the form of a regularity race for vintage cars. Participation is limited
to the cars, produced no later than 1957, which had participated in the original race. The route (Brescia-Rome round trip) is the same as the original race, as well as the departure and arrival point, Viale Venezia.
The Mille Miglia, just like then, as well as a car event, is a phenomenon of custom, social and cultural event or even "a formidable media event".
This stolen photo wants to represent this transport, even for the little ones who are fascinated by these beautiful vehicles and want to imitate the biggest and most famous riders. It is through these events that the generational bridge that is increasingly present in today's society is overcome.
AUTHOR
I was born May 5, 1993 in Brescia. In the course of my growth, I show from the early years a marked sensitivity, a lively creativity and good artistic skills. I enrolled at the scientific high school artistic address "Leonardo" of Brescia, where I could perfect my approach with art. In 2009, when I was only 16, I discovered the joy of portraying people, capturing moods and emotions. With my first scholarship, I bought the first SLR camera and with the passing of the years I have fueled my passion from day to day. During these years, my passion continues to feed it self-taught: I buy books to increase my technique, I follow tutorials on the web and read specific magazines to approach and perfect the techniques of photo editing with Photoshop software. In 2011, after having achieved my scientific and artistic maturity, I undertook my studies at the University of Brescia in the faculty of building-architecture engineering. It is during these university years that my passion turns into a job opportunity: starting from small events, the voice of satisfied customers will lead me to perform even the first wedding reports. The photograph will remain the means by which I can express, among the often too rational studies, my soul and my sensibility, with the sole objective of making eternal emotions felt in small moments.
