ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I was waiting for a lioness to strike, but suddenly these six cranes decided to sound off an alarm by circling over the lioness. This act gave me the room I needed to adjust my focus and setting from the lioness to the cranes. Once again thanks to my knowledgeable guide, Joel, for telling me what was happening and thus help me get this shot.
AUTHOR
My interest in photography was sparked off by my brother, when he taught me how to use his film camera. But I really have no idea how passionate I am until my first son was born and now I am crazy enough to ride an eight-hours horse trip at remote mountain trail in Northern Xinjiang to capture its stunning landscape. My effort really paid off in 2016 - being won the Grand Award of 2016 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year!
