ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The thousand-year-old ruins of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, is a very busy site with locals and tourists during the day, but in the evening it becomes a solemn, peaceful place that belongs to the animals. We have been following a particular troop when two macaques separated and climbed up in a dead tree a bit away from the rest of the group. After a few minutes looking for termites they sat next to each other in the last rays of the setting sun, leaning in and sharing a tender moment of mutual affection.
