Entry description:
Basically,The roof should be functional.Roof is use to privent the rain, wind, and so on.But in another hand, in japan, roof is used for expressing as a symbol. For example, shrine as a house of god,and more over it reprisent the character and class of god.Mean while for the private house will be as status and wealth.
For my work ,taking pursuing something more than function(Japanese unique roof and eaves),to search the expressions trancending the function of the roof.Meaning of my work is to capture the people‘s will at the time.
